Three Cups

In this painting, the handmade cups are a focal point. There is something so beautiful and tactile about holding ceramics which have been moulded. They are each individual, as individual and unique as the artist who created them. There is beauty in their simplicity. The cups were made by fellow talented artist Milli McGregor. 

The warmth of the orange is inviting and is reminiscent of the comforting sensation of holding a steaming cup of tea on a cold winters day. The cool blue complements the orange and offers a calming and serene experience. Life can feel so busy at times and and this painting can remind us to pause, take a breath, and appreciate the beauty found in the ordinary.
